A Very Long Overdue Post...

Phew, this work lark really takes it out of you!

Alas, the Maths Animals have not yet materialised (any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!) and the Alice children haven't been finished either. I have had people asking to make them Christmas cards and things and not even got round to doing anything on here for such a long time, I'm falling behind somewhat.

I have drawn more Alice children however, but none are coloured yet...

I'm very much enjoying doing them, but am somewhat fearful of the 52 picture set task I have set myself! Ah well, I have until August 2009 to do it ;)

Octopus on a Mug!

Super excitement! A friend of mine asked if I thought it would be possible to make her a mug with my Octopus Artist on it, I just got it back from the printers and it is awesome! I have loads more ideas now for other things to put on mugs, and another friend has already requested the Mad Hatter on a mug, so that's all very exciting! Next step, personalised TEAPOTS! Check out the shop to see what you might like on a mug!

Finally I have something to show you, hurrah!

I have done a few of the Alice pictures, here are the March Hare and the Mad Hatter:

There are others on the way, and it's all very exciting!

Work = maths. Etsy = fun!

I have finally drawn some of my Alice animal children! Hurrah! I am hoping to make a big ol' set of them, but have about 10 different pictures done, so I will get them up here soon :)

As far as jobs go, working in Maths is a bit weird, and I keep having to re-learn stuff I haven't had to do in 10 years, but that's all good fun and, you never know, I could get some good inspiration for Maths animal children!

Very much enjoying relaxing on Etsy after work, I even had a dream last night that I sold my unicorn picture! A bit sad, I know...

A long overdue update

I am rubbish, but I have been so tired lately I've not had much of a chance to update you! I promise once I get used to the early mornings I will get back into blogging. I'm really sad that I have not had a chance to draw even one rabbit in the last week! As soon as I get home from work I can't help but collapse into the sofa and semi-watch TV while trying not to fall asleep on my husband!

But I have still got lots of ideas whizzing around. I'm hoping when I get into the swing of things I can sit in the corner of the office looking like I'm doing work but actually be getting on with some drawings. Working in a maths department probably won't be the most inspiring thing in the world though, but you never know! I could do with some mathematician animals...

New job = no more sitting around drinking tea and drawing

Woah, what a week! I have just got a new job so it's been very stressful, it's taking some getting used to, this idea of finally going back to work after 6 months! Although it'll be exciting, I'm very aware that to begin with I won't be able to concentrate on any kind of crafty bits so that's kinda rubbish, but it will also be nice to get out and about and meet new people and get some money in the bank!

I'm afraid I haven't got anything new for you this time, but I'm still thinking all about lots of things and working on the Alice pictures...

Rockabaret and Alice inspired children!

Well, Saturday night was incredible! Some friends and I went to an Alice in Wonderland themed club night called Rockabaret and had one of the best nights ever! We were all nicely dressed up (pics soon) and there was so much going on, there was flamingo and hedgehog croquet out in the back, a big caterpillar sat on a mushroom in the first room, the Ace of Hearts on stilts, The Queen of Hearts, lots of cupcakes and cocktails and splendid music - they even played some Eurovision songs! You cannot imagine how excited I was when Verka Seduchka came on!! The whole night was amazing!

I've now been inspired to draw some Alice themed children, so we'll see what I come up with. I'll put them in the shop soon, along with the rest of my Christmas cards :)

NEW Animal Tags!

I have been making Christmas gift tags all day today! I have a few sets of 8 tags each in different animals now, and girls and boys of each: squirrels (girl shown), foxes, cats, bunnies, bears, pandas and giraffes. I'm hoping to make some more animals, maybe tigers and lions too :)

The tags will come in sets of 8 of each animal, with the chance to have different animal selections if desired. The actual tags when complete will have holes in their tops and ribbons. Lovely!
