a wonderful portmanteau find

If there is one thing that makes me happy* it's a good portmanteau. I just can't help myself, I love them.

Imagine my delightment (delight + excitement - you know you love it too) when I spotted these while shopping this morning:

SQONUTS! Square donuts! But Tesco are too cool to use a U after the Q - they evidently mean business, and I love it! If you'd care to buy your own sqonuts, here is the product info. 

I think I'll write them a letter praising their ingenious product development team. 

And I might start describing all of my food using shape-related portmanteaux.


*there are actually lots of things, not just portmanteaux, I'm not weird.
