I've had a thing for maps for quite some time now - I guess it could have something to do with my love for Nami, the navigator/cartographer from One Piece - but it could just as easily be because they're beautiful and a little bit mysterious. I love a bit of mystery, me. I wish I had the patience to draw my own maps, either of real places or imaginary places, though I would imagine they would take

days weeks to get perfect. It'd be totally worth it though. Perhaps I'll add it to my list of Future Projects.

I recently realised that although I have lots and lots of maps of parts of Europe from my various adventures, I don't have a single world map... that is, until now! And it's not even like a regular map, it's a scratch map where you get to scratch off all the countries that you've been to! Awesomes!
I don't have much to scratch off yet, apart from a chunk of Europe and the US... but it's seriously making me consider going to places like Russia or China for holidays so that I'll have more to scratch off when I get back... This could get O.B.S.E.S.S.I.V.E.

Wow - that sounds amazing - the coolest kind of map for marking where you've been that I can imagine!
I'll have to put up a pic of when it's finished being scratched... so far Yoyo is enjoying chasing the scratched off bits left when I scratch any of it!
That is so cool! I'm a bit sad that the only thing I could scratch is Australia though... I've never been anywhere!
What more of a reason to buy one! It's making me long for journeys to Antarctica though...
