a grey day

Last weekend I was at the pub with a bunch of peeps, none of whom believed me when I told them I was moving to Walthamstow. I made two FB status updates to that effect, and blogged about it, but everyone thought I was joking.

Despite this odd reaction to my rather exciting news, it hasn't stopped me being super duper excited and thinking about all sorts of housey stuff, not least how the living room should be decorated.

It might sound a bit odd, but I would really like to see how a grey wall would look. Just an accent wall you understand, not an entirely grey room - that might be a bit much - so I've been researching (oh Pinterest, how I love you!)...

My only concerns are whether I would need a really big room to be able to pull this off, and whether grey might make the room too dark?

What do you think? Do you like any of the rooms above?

Come to my house! I painted my walls in F&B Elephant's Breath, they're not too dark, not too light, and sometimes look brown/pink/beige under various light conditions (in fact, usually all at once on different walls)

I'm so happy with it I haven't put any artwork back on the walls yet! I find the walls really restful and beautiful.

Ooooh, that sounds wonderful! I'll certainly have to come and see them!
