I don't think you're ready for this... horse fly?

Ever since reading this amazing story about a horse fly named after Beyoncé, I haven't been able to get Bootylicious by Destiny's Child out of my head.

It's been a good few days now, but nothing I listen to will make it budge - it's just so darn catchy!

So, this horse fly I was talking about, Scaptia (Plinthina) beyonceae, was named after Lady B because of its gold bum. Incredible, non?

I love that a scientist somewhere thought:

"you know what this gold-bummed fly reminds me of...? Beyoncé!

Yeah, we should totally name it after her - she'd love that!"
