My swapee likes animals, and I love foxes, so it was kind of inevitable that that's what it would depict. I've drawn this style of fox many times, and have used him on a series of cards I made, but I've never sewn him before. It was quite fun drawing him in a different medium, though my stitch work has a lot of room for improvement. I just used basic stitches as I'm not the most confident embroiderer, but perhaps if I sign up for Mollie's next swap in the autumn I'll have learned some new stitches by then!
It's the first embroidery hoop I've ever done, but I think it turned out OK, what do you think?
1// designing
2// drawing onto the canvas
3// stitching the outline
4// all filled in
5// now for his face
6// what's that 'h' for?
7// ...hooray!
8// a little heart and some paw definition
9// finished!
Do you like my little positivity fox?
I hope my swap partner loves him... I kind of want to keep him for myself!
9 hellos:
That is gorgeous!
Aw, thanks Sarah! I'm glad you like him!
It looks fantastic! Bravo!
Thank you so much, Laura! I think I'm going to start making more of him again, I forgot how much I liked my positive foxes!
So cuuute! xx
He is a brilliantly foxy fox! Love it!
This is adorable. I love the colors you used, too.
Aw, shucks, guys!
