Moving house does not come cheap, and one thing I certainly can’t afford are new carpets. It's been about 6 years since I last had a carpeted room in my house, and I am rather enjoying the warmth under my feet first thing in the morning, but the carpets in the flat are pretty grubby. They're slightly-darker-than-oatmeal coloured, and no matter how much hoovering or cleaning we do, they remain pretty ugly.
The solution to the problem is surely very obvious: rugs - and plenty of them!

I really like your selection. If we get somewhere I think I will paint my own in geometric designs. I like geometric floor coverings. :)
I like the simplicity of the grey geometric one very much.
But I also love the ridiculousness of the peacock one in the middle!
Somehow I don't think they'd both suit being in the same room...!
