my 2013 reading list

Last year I joined the Goodreads Challenge, where I challenged myself to read 25 books. It shouldn't have been that much of a challenge to read only 25 books... but I still only managed to read 23. There was a long phase in the summer when I just didn't read any books for weeks, which probably didn't help.

This year I've joined it again - but challenged myself to read 30 books. I know, I know - if I can't read 25, how can I possibly read 30? Well, it's partly because this year will be the first full year of being self employed (yay!), so I can organise my time a lot more efficiently than I could last year.

Here are some of the books which are currently on my reading list:

Have you read any of them?
Are any of you taking a reading challenge this year?

I read Geek Girls Unite and the Night Circus and am halfway through the Wind-Up Bird Chronicles.

Geek Girls was a very fun and quick read. And the Night Circus is a lot longer, but absolutely wonderful. I hope you'll enjoy it too!

Last year I read about 12/13 books, this year I'm trying the 50/50 project. I'm right on schedule as I already finished 3 books in 2013.

I recently finished reading The Night Circus! I'm sure you'll like it! I'm looking forward to reading more about what you're reading. I'm reading "Started Early, Took My Dog" right now and have a long list of "to-read"s LOL!

Hi Laura!

Thanks for the info, I can't wait to read them all! Oooh, 50?? Hope that goes well! Perhaps I'll aim for that next year :)

I'll keep updated with how the reading challenge goes!

I think 30 books should be achievable. If you've not read it yet I always recommend All My Friends Are Superheroes by Andrew Kaufman. I'd love to hear about how Dolly Parton's book is - and the 59 seconds book too x
